Twitter users will soon be able to remove followers without entirely blocking them

Twitter has been experimenting with a variety of new features in order to improve the user experience. The most recent feature that microblogging is experimenting with has a lot to do with how users interact with their followers.

Some of your followers are malicious, and they have a definite reason for following you. They attempt to bring you down by posting inappropriate remarks under your tweets. Twitter is now experimenting with a new method of dealing with them.

According to the results of the most recent test, users will soon be able to delete followers without completely banning them.

According to Twitter, the company is now testing a new tool on the web that would allow users to delete followers without banning them. The ability to curate your own followers’ list has been made easier by the company. On the web, we’re currently exploring the ability to unfollow someone without blocking them. In order to unfollow someone on Twitter, go to your profile and click “Followers,” then click the three-dot icon and pick “Remove this follower,” according to a tweet from the company.

It is interesting to note that when you remove a follower from your list, he does not instantly become aware of the removal. If, on the other hand, your account is open to the public, anybody may view your tweets and leave comments on them. You may need to know: What is a Twitter Tracker? Why do you need it?

As a result, the purpose of unfollowing someone remains a little ambiguous. A follower who is disparaging you may only be removed from your account by banning him or her from seeing your posts anymore. Twitter, on the other hand, is simply testing the functionality right now. We have no way of knowing what the final result will be or how beneficial the functionality will be for end customers at this time.

You can see in the screenshot provided by Twitter that unfollowing someone is actually pretty simple. It’s as simple as opening their follower’s list and clicking on the three dots next to each individual’s name in order to unfollow them. Users may get rid of the follower by selecting “remove the follower” from the drop-down menu.

Twitter is likewise experimenting with the edge-to-edge functionality, but just for the iOS app. Users will be able to publish Edge to Edge Tweets that cover the width of the timeline, allowing images, GIFs, and videos to have more space to be seen and appreciated.

If Twitter implements this functionality, users will no longer be required to touch on photos in order to view them in full size. Twitter has not stated when the two functionalities it has been testing would be made available to the public.
