With the new news arriving today – the NBA is now in Fortnite; it has become synonymous with having pop culture stars in the fold. Epic Games has an extensive tradition of practicing major sports for its ever-popular free-to-play title. Fortnite skins were added almost three years ago for 32 NFL teams, upgrading their jerseys in the 2020 season last fall. Epic added football skins from some of the best clubs in the world earlier this year, including Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr. as a hidden Battle Pass skin in season 6. Fortnite now turned to basketball with football and soccer under his belt.
Strategically introduced just days before NBA Finals begin, ‘The Crossover’ offers players a wide range of NBA material for sampling. Buyers have access to 31 uniforms from all 30 NBA clubs, as well as a Fortnite-inspired ensemble in their debut on May 21st, In The Paint cosmetic collection. The Shoot and Score Pack, which comprises an Emote Hookshot and Mini Hoop Back Bling, can also be launched on the same day, personalized to display the favorite player’s team, similar to the NFL skins. Beyond these novel cosmetics, the NBA guards Trae Young and Donovan Mitchell has now picked a new Locker Bundle that will appear in the item shop next week.
NBA cosmetics are not “The Crossover” the only thing. This is a five-day event involving all 30 NBA teams. The Fortnite NBA is presenting team battles. From today onwards, fans will have the opportunity to register in a collective effort to win V-bucks and rewards for their favorite team. The players who complete the overall challenge tasks during the top 3 days of the competition unlock spray and banner “Spin!.” When the leaderboard goes online, the rivalry comes true over the last two days, with all three best teams winning awards.
