True Finance AI: Is AI-Powered Trading on Solana Worth It?
A couple of months ago I knew how to buy SOL and not much else. I wanted to start trading properly, so I spent a few weeks testing tools. Most of them assumed I already knew what a funding rate or a liquidation level was. The ones that explained things couldnât place a trade, and the ones that could place trades explained nothing.
A friend who trades on Solana had been using TRUE Finance AI for a while and suggested I give it a go. My first days were clumsy. I asked vague questions, got long answers, and needed time to work out where the chat ends and the DEX begins. Once that clicked, it became the tool I learned on. Iâve used it for a little over a month now, and this is how it went, including the parts that took getting used to.
Quick take: After a month, I use it mostly for research and for checking my reasoning before a trade. The chat explains, I sign every DEX order myself, and automation only runs inside limits I set. If you trade on Solana and are tired of juggling tabs, itâs worth a look.

What Is TRUE Finance AI on Solana?
TRUE AI (also branded TRUE Finance AI) is an AI-native finance platform: a market intelligence layer paired with a non-custodial trading venue, both built on Solana. It was founded by Ben Bilski, the former CEO of NAGA, and originally went by True Trading.
In practice it has two layers. One is an AI assistant you talk to about markets. The other is where trades happen, signed from your own wallet. You can analyze markets and research any asset through the chat. Execution is on-chain: swaps, perpetual futures, copy trading and bridging. The company calls this âagentic financeâ â AI for markets and trading, with automation that only acts inside limits you set.
TRUE AI vs Trading Bots, Exchanges and DEXs
This was the difference I noticed first.
|
Research |
Execution |
Automation |
Custody |
|
| Typical trading bot | Elsewhere | Via exchange API | Preset rules | Depends on exchange |
| Centralized exchange | Limited | Yes | Limited | Exchange holds funds |
| Typical DEX | None | Yes | None | Your wallet |
| TRUE Finance AI | AI assistant, any market | On-chain DEX | Autopilot agents | Your wallet |
Most tools split research, execution and automation across separate apps. TRUE Finance AI keeps them in one place, and thatâs the main reason I kept opening it.
How Does TRUE AI Work?
The easiest way to explain the flow is one real morning.
Step 1: Ask in Plain English
SOL had dropped overnight and I didnât know why. Instead of opening a chart, a liquidation tracker and a news feed, I typed one line:
âWhy is SOL down this morning, and is there a liquidation cluster below the current price?â
Step 2: Get Real-Time Market Analysis
The answer came back in plain language. It pointed to a cluster of long liquidations on the heatmap, a funding rate that had turned negative, and a macro data release due that afternoon. It also listed what would weaken that reading.
Then I uploaded a chart with my own levels drawn on it. The assistant went through each one and showed which matched the data. That was humbling, and useful.
Step 3: Sign the Trade in Your Wallet
I waited for the data release. Later I opened the perpetual futures DEX on the same screen, placed a small limit order with a stop-loss, and signed it from my wallet.
The chat explained the market. It didnât place the order. Every perps trade, limit order and stop-loss on the DEX is placed by the user. The chat can run a simple swap only when you explicitly ask. When I typed âswap 2 SOL to USDC,â it routed the swap through Jupiter and waited for my wallet confirmation.
TRUE Finance AI Key Features
AI Market Research and Trading Signals
This is the core of the platform, and the AI market research tool I now use most. Real-time prices, professional charts, liquidation heatmaps, technical indicators, news and economic events all feed one assistant. It supports 11 languages.
I mostly used it to track narratives: âWhatâs gaining attention on Solana this week, and why?â I also uploaded a projectâs tokenomics PDF and got a clear summary of the unlock schedule.
Ready-made trade signals sit next to the charts. I treated them as leads, not instructions, and asked the assistant to explain the logic behind each one before acting. For a more technical overview of the architecture, this deep dive into TRUE AI is worth reading.
Autopilot Trading Agents
Autopilot is the platformâs take on crypto autopilot trading. An Autopilot agent runs your own strategy, within permissions you define in advance.
I set one up for a routine I already followed by hand. I limited it to two approved assets, set a small spending cap, added a stop-loss rule and gave it a one-week expiry. Every action was logged with a short explanation. At the end of the week I revoked it in two clicks. It felt less like handing over control and more like writing my rules down.
Perpetual Futures, Swaps and Copy Trading
The execution layer covers non-custodial swaps through Jupiter, a perpetual futures DEX, a copy trading platform, cross-chain bridging, and funding with crypto or card. I used swaps and perps most, and kept copy trading to small amounts while I learned how it works.
Portfolio and Risk Tracking
âHow exposed am I right now?â became one of my most-used prompts. The assistant broke down my holdings and open positions and showed that most of my exposure sat in one asset. Seeing it spelled out made me rebalance, and itâs now my quickest way to understand risk across everything I hold.
MCP Connector for ChatGPT and Claude
For technical users, TRUE AI offers a read-only Model Context Protocol connector. Compatible assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Cursor can read authorized market and account data. They canât move funds.
TRUE AI Pros and Cons
What I Liked
- The whole loop in one app. Research, decision and execution without switching tools.
- Plain-language explanations. I understood why a move happened, not just that it did.
- Automation on my terms. Autopilot follows rules I set, logs every action and can be revoked anytime.
- Non-custodial by default. My funds stayed in my wallet throughout.
- A careful MCP connector. Other intelligent financial agents can read my data without controlling it.
Things to Keep in Mind
- Plan your Autopilot rules first. A few minutes spent on caps, assets and stop-losses pays off.
- Research and trading have different scopes. Research covers any market; trading is on-chain crypto.
- The platform is still evolving. Features and rewards rules change, so check the app for current details.
- Card funding includes ID checks. Crypto trading needs no KYC to start, but card funding goes through a third-party provider.
Is TRUE AI Safe to Use?
The platform is non-custodial. Assets stay in your wallet, and every trade is signed by you. Autopilot activity is limited to permissions you grant and can revoke.
The team has also written about trading agent canât hurt users. It describes a control layer that checks orders against fixed limits. The results come from an offline simulation, so I read it as a design principle rather than a guarantee.
Market risk still applies. Perpetual futures use leverage, which can liquidate a position quickly, and signals can be wrong.
Who Should Use TRUE Finance AI?
Best For
- On-chain traders on Solana who want research and execution in one place.
- Beginners who learn better by asking questions than by reading dashboards.
- Anyone who wants automation they define, can audit and can switch off.
- Developers who want their own AI tools to read market data.
May Not Suit
- Anyone expecting a tool that makes trading decisions for them.
- Traders who only need a basic spot exchange.
- People who want to trade stocks directly rather than research them.
For how I trade, TRUE Finance AI earned a permanent spot. It didnât change my strategy overnight, but I now check the reasoning before I act, because itâs right there in the same window.
