WhatsApp Request Account Info
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is pushing out the ability to download user data to a desktop computer. As the service becomes more widely available, users will be able to download their account information directly from WhatsApp for Desktop. According to the report, WhatsApp Desktop beta v2.2219.3 is compatible, which means that users of this version of WhatsApp will be able to access their account information.
According to the article, this function was introduced several years ago as a result of the new GDPR legislation, and it provides a thorough report of some information such as your activity information, privacy settings, device information, and contents. Whereas the WhatsApp Request Account Info function will be accessible to all beta users on May 20, 2022, it may not be available to all beta users at the same time. It is, however, quite common for such apps to take a bit of time to roll out functionality to all users.
When you access the functionality, you will see the following message:
“Create a report of your WhatsApp account information and settings, which you can access or port to another app. This report does not include your messages.”
The report also mentions:
“Your request will be canceled if you make changes to your account such as changing your number or deleting your account.”
WhatsApp just introduced new tools for WhatsApp Business users. WhatsApp Business users will now have access to a cloud-based API that will allow them to develop a unique experience for consumers. Furthermore, the platform has announced the availability of two new capabilities for premium WhatsApp Business users. WhatsApp’s new API has reduced startup time from months to minutes. This allows businesses and developers to rapidly and easily utilize WhatsApp’s services and build right on top of WhatsApp to further personalize their experience and respond to their individual customers. The API will also reduce the need for business servers.
We will update whenever the WhatsApp stable release comes with the Request Account Info feature. Therefore, keep following Technotification.
