Truecaller Version 12 brings Video caller ID and much more features

According to Truecaller, the “Truecaller Version 12” upgrade would bring several new capabilities to the service. Some of these capabilities include visual caller identification, call recording, and a fully redesigned user interface for the end-user. Because of this, Truecaller is referring to the upgrade as “the greatest version of Truecaller to date.”

The Truecaller Version 12 upgrade will include a total of five new features, which have been mentioned thus far. Some of these features will be available only to Truecaller premium subscribers, while others will be available to all Truecaller users on Android for no additional charge. According to the business, these improvements will begin rolling out progressively to all Android users in India in the coming weeks, followed by many additional nations soon. The release date for the related iOS version has not yet been disclosed.

Video Caller Identification

By its name, Video Caller ID enables users to record a brief video that will automatically play when they call friends and family members. Alternatively, users may record their video or pick from one of the built-in video templates. All Truecaller Android users will be able to make use of this service.

The New User Interface

Truecaller will feature distinct tabs for calls and SMS messages as part of the upgrade. According to the business, this modification was long overdue to declutter the design, and it would allow users to keep track of both phone calls and SMS messages from the app’s home screen itself.

Call Recording

Truecaller formerly offered call recording as a premium feature that could only be purchased with a premium subscription. Everyone using Android 5.1 or higher will now be able to make use of the new feature thanks to the latest update. Users will be able to record all incoming and outgoing calls with Call Recording, regardless of whether their device is equipped with the capability or not.

All recordings are held locally on the device storage, and the firm does not have access to them at any point, according to Truecaller. Truecaller users will be able to listen to and erase recordings from within the app or by using a file browser to access them. Users will also be able to share recordings with others through email, Bluetooth, or any other messaging method supported by the app.

Users will be able to start recording calls with a single touch in either Full-Screen or Pop Up Caller ID after completing the basic setup procedure. Call recording will be available as an optional feature.

Ghost call

Truecaller’s Ghost Call feature will allow users to enter any name, phone number, and photo to make it look as though they are receiving a call from that individual. In addition, users will be able to select a contact from their phonebook to receive the phantom call. Additionally, customers will be able to schedule the Ghost Call for a later day and time using the app. Ghost Call will only be available to Truecaller Premium and Gold members. It will not be available to other Truecaller users.

Call Announce

After it has been activated, the new optional function will speak the caller ID for incoming phone calls out loud when they are received. Both standard phone calls and Truecaller HD Voice calls may be made using this feature, which works for stored contacts as well as for numbers recognised by Truecaller. In addition, users will be able to make use of it while wearing headphones. Similarly to Ghost Call, the Call Announce feature will only be available to Premium and Gold subscriptions customers.
