Xiaomi recorded 10 times growth in its premium segment smartphones

After five days of sales over the Festival season, Xiaomi India has claimed that it has sold more than 2 million smartphones in the country. The total number of sales has been compiled from all of the locations where Xiaomi is presently offering its smartphones at a discounted price.

These include Xiaomi’s own Diwali With Mi sale, Amazon’s Great Indian Shopping Festival, Flipkart’s The Big Billion Days sale, as well as discounts being given through traditional channels like brick and mortar stores.

In addition to surpassing the 2 million unit sales mark, the firm saw a tenfold increase in sales of its premium category smartphones when compared to the same period last year, according to the company. Xiaomi classifies premium smartphones as those with a price tag of more than Rs 20,000 belonging to the premium smartphone sector.

“We thrive on delivering products that are driven by technical innovation and backed by excellent design that may assist better the consumer’s product experience, lifestyle, and overall well-being,” Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Mi India, said in a statement to mark the occasion.

“Achieving such milestones allows us to continue to push the frontiers of technology innovation and enhance the smartphone experience for our customers with each new product,” Reddy continued.

An analysis of this sales data reveals that the recently introduced Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G as well as smartphones from the Mi 11X series were the most popular choices among consumers in the premium sector. These were followed by the desire for more cheap smartphones such as the Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the Redmi 9 series, which were all popular choices.

Xiaomi has reached the 2 million sales milestone as a result of a series of promotions that are presently running on a number of its devices. There are no-cost EMI alternatives available with these deals, as well as cashback, bank offers, exchange offers, and other incentives to purchase Xiaomi gadgets right now.

Aside from that, the business has also started offering hourly offers on its own India website. Xiaomi is offering users packaged deals and discounts through a questionnaire to help them get their hands on their favorite smartphone from the company’s stable of products.

In addition to smartphones, the Diwali With Mi sale includes discounts on Xiaomi smart TVs and other goods from the Xiaomi ecosystem. For example, during the sale, both the Redmi and Mi Smart TVs will be offered at a reduced price.

Special discounts of up to Rs 3,500 will be offered on Redmi Smart TVs in the 32-inch and 43-inch sizes during the Diwali season. The televisions will be available for purchase at a starting price of Rs 13,249 and Rs 22,749, respectively. Mi Robot Vacuum Mop-P, on the other hand, will be offered at a discounted price of Rs 5,000 and will retail for Rs 18,749.
