    What is an Android Emulator?

    Android Emulators are a virtual designed environment to run a Mobile based OS on a PC. It provides a way to interact and assess tasks such as app testing, Development of heavy applications. PC’s hardware provides additional support to sustain a lot of processes than a normal smartphone.

    It is like another smartphone built inside your Windows/Mac System. Sharing the network of the host enables the user to push the limitations they have to face on a smartphone due to multiple factors.

    1. BlueStacks

    BlueStacks is one of the most popular and widely used Android Emulators in the world. It is developed by an American company that aimed to push its limits and provides an enhanced gaming experience. It is widely used to play games like Clash of Clans, League of Legends, and many other similar titles.

    Over the years, BlueStacks has been developed to function smoothly over low-end systems as well. The need for low RAM for processing and a highly rich user interface makes it unique and vibrant for use. It does have a premium version, but for most of its features, It is FREE.

    It has a lot of trendy features but is buggy. Despite its rich user interface, It doesn’t provide any control over the default/home screen applications.

    2. Android Studio Emulator

    Android Studio Emulator is Android’s official IDE. Google’s ultra-modern development kit and security system make it more reliable and fast. It is one of the most flexible Emulators used widely for Application development. It has a customizable interface and enhances the server-client interaction experience. It has a faster application boot protocol, saving a lot to work time for the user.

    It has a built-in cloud service to store up your work and progress on a project. It makes it handy to work on any system from anywhere in the world using your synced-up database.

    All the data are protected using Google’s own security protocols, which makes it more and more trustworthy. Though it lacks the support for many gaming titles, It is a highly interactive and bug-free platform to work with. It occupies a lot less RAM than any of its competitors in the market.

    If you have a low-end PC, with a bare minimum of 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM and are wondering about a suitable Emulator. Android Studio Emulator is the perfect choice for it.

    It has got multiple features like accessing mobile apps, Development Console for Android apps, High Definition gaming experience, etc. But, the Gaming interface is still under development. The In-App purchases for the premium version which is a major drop back for the competition in the Free Emulator market.

    3. Nox Player

    Nox Player is one of the open-source emulators which provide an in-built CPU and RAM usage management console. It believes in power in the user’s hand. Nox was developed with a motive to improve the Android gaming experience. Nox has the highest number of supported games, second to only BlueStacks Emulator.

    Nox features multiple versions of Android OS, helping to test out many OS-specific applications. If rooting the device is what you are enthusiastic about, Nox player makes it easy to root the OS without harming the warranty of a smartphone.

    Nox player provides multi-window support, but it puts the system under a heavy load. If you don’t have a good specification system, this emulator is not meant for you. The user interface is yet under development for a more enhanced experience, which it lags as of date.

    4. MEmu Emulator

    MEmu Emulator was launched in 2015 to compete with Nox and BlueStacks, with a complete focus on gaming. It is known to provide great performance and extreme user experience.

    One of the MEmu Android emulators’ most important features is its support for both AMD and NVIDIA chips. It Upheld the expectations of a rich gaming experience but fell short in visual interface and graphics developments.

    MEmu has been very new to the market and the prompt technical support for the app, and its user interface development is unique to any Android Emulators. It also features an in-built accelerometer, to boost the gaming experience of games like BGMI, Call of Duty, Asphalt, etc. It still does lack support for a lot of games and UI customization, leaving a lot of scope for improvement in the future.
